Through the Yale integrated M.B.A. curriculum, graduate students study through “raw” cases, which emphasize analysis of a wide array of materials such as stock charts and articles—a break from the standard business case study. In their first year, all students will complete the Leadership Development Program and an International Experience trip. Students take electives in both years at the Yale School of Management, either through the school or other departments such as the highly ranked Yale Law School.
There are several centers for students to get involved in, including the International Center for Finance, the Center for Business and the Environment, and the Millstein Center for Corporate Governance and Performance. Students also have access to more than 50 clubs that run the gamut from professional development groups to sports teams and community service organizations. In additional to the International Experience trip, study abroad opportunities exist through the London School of Economics and Political Science and the Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management in Beijing.
The Yale School of Management also offers an M.B.A. for Executives, known as the Yale MBA-e; a program for those in the healthcare industry; and annual initiatives including the Yale CEO College, run through the Yale Chief Executive Leadership Institute. There are also Ph.D. programs in Accounting, Financial Economics, Marketing, and Organizations and Management.
Notable alumni include Indra Nooyi, chairman and CEO of PepsiCo, and Gail Harrity, chief operating officer of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
