Over 100 countries are represented adding diversity to the campus culture. Student organizations and activities encourage development of talents and interests. In addition to academic and co-curricular experiences, UNO's home in Omaha - Nebraska's largest city - means top entertainment, arts events, and other attractions. Employment opportunities are diverse in business and non-profit organizations. New campus building and additions include Mammel Hall College of Business Administration and Health, Physical Education and Recreation additions including a Biomechanics Lab, exercise and physiological labs, expanded recreation facilities, and new fitness equipment. The Thompson Learning Community provides increased full scholarship opportunities for Nebraska students. The Council for Aid to Education in New York reports that UNO does the best job among 176 colleges and universities (2008) in improving students intellectual abilities from the freshmen year to the senior year when measured by the Collegiate Learning Assessment.
