Marietta College is located in Marietta, Ohio, only a few hours from Columbus, Cleveland, and Pittsburgh. Campus facilities include the high-tech Anderson Hancock Planetarium and state-of-the-art Dyson Baudo Recreation Center, equipped with fitness and training facilities, a climbing wall, basketball courts, and racquetball courts. Student clubs are organized into seven categories: academic, athletic, campus life, cultural, political, religious, and service. Nearly 20 percent of students are members of the active Greek community on campus. All students are required to live on campus in one of the single-sex or coed residence halls, college-owned houses, or fraternity and sorority houses. The Marietta Pioneers have more than 15 varsity sports teams and compete in the NCAA Division III Ohio Athletic Conference.

Marietta College grants undergraduate Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Sciences, and Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees, as well as several graduate master’s degrees. Undergraduates can choose from more than 40 majors ranging from petroleum engineering to middle childhood education. Marietta also has a variety of study abroad options including faculty-led programs, sponsored third-party programs, and direct enrollment in a college abroad. The McDonough Leadership Program offers students the opportunity to study the nature of leadership and gain leadership experience. A few popular campus traditions are Doo Dah Day, an annual celebration of spring; and painting "The Rock" on campus with anything from event promotions to birthday recognitions.
