The mission of Faulkner University is to glorify God through education of the whole person, emphasizing integrity of character in a caring Christian environment where every individual matters every day. Faulkner University is a Christian community of learners in the tradition of American higher education that seeks to educate the whole person by cultivating the moral, emotional, physical, psychological and spiritual dimensions of the individual. This tradition is rooted in the liberal arts tradition of open inquiry, investigation, and engagement. This tradition promotes knowledge, professionalism, critical thinking, leadership, lifelong learning, and service to others - the true traits of spiritual development and great character. Faulkner University enrolls students from across the United States and several foreign countries including Brazil, Canada, Mthatha, Scotland and Ukraine. Faulkner University is located in the heart of the southern U.S. and many of our students are from the surrounding southern state. Faulkner also is in the heart of American history: from the Creek Indians, Spanish Explorers, Early American Settlers, Antebellum South, and Civil Rights. The mission of the University, the rich heritage of our setting and the background of her students create a caring, friendly, and supportive Christian environment. The Faulkner Experience focuses on infusing a Christian worldview and pursuit for excellence in all aspects of campus life. The Faulkner Experience involves academic excellence with an expert faculty, a challenging curriculum, and low student to faculty ratio. The Faulkner Experience involves character excellence with a curriculum and campus activities designed to foster spiritual growth. The Faulkner Experience involves Christian service excellence with a programs and opportunities to serve others in the community and around the world. The Faulkner Experience is rooted in the relationships between students, the faculty, and the staff of the University. These relationships are fostered through intercollegiate athletics, intramural athletics, social clubs, academic clubs, honor societies, devotionals, chapel programs, and numerous other student activities. The Faulkner Experience provides the tools for students to excel in their careers, families, churches, and communities - in all aspects of life.
