UC Davis sent out a recent notification indicating an update to their 2012 Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) program. This update includes an outlook for winter and spring admission to UC Davis and to announce a new online reporting system for California community college course reductions affecting fall 2012 applicants.
Similar to past years, UC Davis will be closed for winter and spring term TAGs and applicants, with very limited ability to grant appeals. Admitting transfer students during the fall allows them to provide entering students with the most comprehensive support to help ensure their academic success.
UC Davis has approved 2,307 TAGs for fall 2012. Students are encouraged to stay focused on achieving their goals by responding to our inquiries promptly, complete required coursework and maintain a strong GPA. All students with TAGs must complete the Transfer Academic Update with fall 2011 grades and any coursework changes by January 31. Their TAG Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) can help answer many of the questions that students may have about their UC Davis TAG contract.
A note to California community college counselors:
If your campus must drop or cancel courses during winter or spring terms that are comparable to those listed at the end of this message, please use our new online system to notify us of these changes. Counseling service deans, transfer directors, articulation officers and TAG coordinators at your campus are receiving this message–we encourage you to work with your colleagues to have one person submit course availability information for your campus. Please submit any changes by January 27, 2012 so that we can take these into consideration before making admission decisions for fall 2012.
